With the Zwartkops and Killarney international sports car series just around the corner, it’s appropriate to add to the site images from the original events at Kyalami.
There are now ADDITIONAL photos of the 1981 9 Hour race, including Ferrari 308, Lancia and BMW M1 plus some local entries. Completely new is a file for the 1983 Castrol 1 000 kms. Choose from the quick search box year 1983 and event 1000 kms (advanced search images MP9568 to 9577). Among the shots are gems such as 956 Porsches in Rothmans and Gunston liveries.
The 1987 and 1988 Yellow Pages 500 kms are also new files. If wall-to-wall Porsche 956s and 962s are what blow your hair back then these are the files for you. There are shots of Bob Wollek in Camel and Sasol sponsored cars, Ludwig in Sasol, Sarel van der Merwe in Topsport and Sabat colours, Wayne Taylor in Sasol colours plus plus. For 1987 choose year 1987, event 500 kms (or advanced search images MP9458 to 9485). For 1988 choose quick search year 1988 and event 500 kms (or advanced search images MP9486 to 9504).
